We had so much fun giving a surprise flamenco class to students at MarrMac Dance for their sleepover at the studio this weekend.
Jen Dunford and Jane Ogilvie were there to introduce students to some flamenco basics. We worked on fundamentals of clapping and flamenco arm movement and then Jen taught them part 1 of our festival flashmob choreography, a dramatic tientos created by Stephanie Pedraza, while Jane provided palmas and cante.
Due to a change in activities at City Hall, our first flashmob apperance date during Swing and Skate has been moved from Sunday, February 18th to Family Day Monday, February 19th. Want to join in the fun? There’s still time to learn the flashmob as a singer, dancer or rhythmic clapper. More info on upcoming flashmob classes and appearances at this link.
Hope to see you there!
